พระบาทสมเด็จพระจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัวจึงได้มีการโปรดเกล้าจากรูปแบบปฏิทินเดิมให้แปลงเป็นปฏิทินสุริยคติ มีรูปแบบ
การใช้มีความนำสมัยลักษณะสากลตามปฏิทินเกรกอเรียน สุดท้ายก็เลยมีการทำการพิมพ์ปฏิทินตั้งโต๊ะขึ้นเพื่อใช้งานนั้นเอง
