2. การวัดไข้ผ่านทางหน้าผาก

ที่จะเป็นการใช้รูปแบบปรอทวัดไข้ดิจิตอลที่นำมาใช้จ่อที่บริเวณหน้าผาก ที่ผู้วัดไข้จะเว้นระยะห่างจากตัวเครื่อง 5 ซม. ที่เมื่อวัดไปแล้วมีอุณหภูมิมากกว่า 37.5 ก็จะเป็นไข้ และควรรักษาคนกว่าอาการไข้จะลดลงเป็นอุณหภูมิปกติ

4. การวัดไข้ผ่านทางทวาร

จะเป็นวิธีการวัดไข้ที่จะเหมาะกับเด็กทารก ที่จะมีการทาสารหล่อลื่นเพื่อเป็นการลดการเสียดสี แล้วก็ให้ทารกนอนคว่ำ แล้วสอดปรอทเข้าไปในก้น มีความลึกประมาณ 1.25 – 2.5 ซม. และมีความนานค้างไว้ 2 นาที หรือจนกว่าสัญญาณที่เครื่องจะดังเตือนเรา ซึ่งอุณหภูมิปกติจะอยู่ที่ 36.6 – 38 องศาเซลเซียส
